Ha! How many times have you heard that one, or clicked on that link?
You know the one that is going to give you all of the secrets to creating your successful business.
Those secrets are everywhere-do this, try this, buy this, and the list goes on and on. However, do you really know what you need to create a successful business?
Besides a vision, hard work, and determination, you need HELP!
Over the last two weeks, I've talked in detail about my out of control to do list. I even plead with all of you to help me with tips and ideas. If you haven't yet read the winner of our competition, check it out here: Take Control of Your To Do List.
The one part of that to do list that really wasn't discussed was the advantages of outsourcing.
For some reason as small businesses, we find the need to accomplish all items on our to do list on our own. Why?
What makes us so different from bigger businesses? Why do we need to be a writer, web developer, accountant, sales person, social medial manager, marketer, all alone?
If part of your goal as a business owner, is to grow, there comes a time when you need to outsource some of those items on that list.
Okay, I know, I know, I can hear it now – you don't have the extra money to outsource, right?
This is a mindset and a mindset that I've fallen victim to as well. Sure you might not have the money right now to hire the top web developer in the country, but chances are you can find a very good one that fits your budget.
If funds are really tight, you may even find business owners that are interested in a trade. The point is, there are options, and in order for you to succeed, you need to discover what works for you.
Focus on your strengths and outsource the rest.
By outsourcing blogging, web development, graphic design, accounting, or whatever other task that is sucking your time dry, enables you the opportunity to grow your business and take it where you envision.
When we try and do it all on our own, we have no time to grow. We maintain and end up exhausted.
Take a few moments and picture your business and what you want to create. If you are happy doing it all, then by all means keep at it.
However, if you are finding yourself tired and unable to focus on the tasks required for your business to grow, explore the tasks that you can outsource.
Be creative if you need to, but if you are serious about building a successful business, then invest in the help that will assist you in making it happen.
